Start with what you already have.
People come to Pikku Studio from one of three places: files and chats, an app that is hard to maintain, or just an idea. Each is a fine place to start, and each ends the same way, with a platform your team and customers sign in to that belongs to you.
- Pikku Studio is free
- It runs on your computer
- No lock-in: the code is yours
“only I know where anything is”
The business runs on files and chats.
Bookings live in a spreadsheet, prices in a doc, and the real decisions in three group chats. Every hand-off is a message. Nobody can answer “where is this one?” without opening three tabs, and when the person who built the sheet is away, things stop.
Today
A sheet only one person understands
After
Every booking, order or job with a status, an owner and a history, on screens the people who run it actually use
Built this way
- Seminarhof DrawehnA 23-room seminar house, its real staff, and email in German
- HouseshareLetting room by room, with a rent ledger
Seminarhof replaced a shared Excel workbook and a lot of email. It is live, and we still run it.
“it works, mostly”
You already have an app that's hard to maintain.
Maybe it was vibe coded in a weekend. Maybe it was built ten years ago and the screens show it. Either way it does a job, nobody wants to touch it, and every quote to fix it turns into a quote to replace all of it.
Today
A rewrite nobody can sign off
After
Brought up to standard one screen at a time while the old app keeps running, with proper sign-in and roles, and every screen clicked through before it goes live
In pilot
An apparel product-development platform: products, components, bills of material, colourways and tech packs. We are rebuilding its screens one at a time on top of the system it already has. Nothing switched off, nothing moved. They have not cleared their name yet, so we will show you on a call rather than on a web page.
“how does this become a business?”
It is still just an idea.
You can picture the thing, and a prototype comes easily now. What does not come is everything a business needs around it: sign-in that holds, roles so not everyone sees everything, data that survives, a web address, a way to take payment, and a way to see what broke.
Today
A prototype that only works on one laptop
After
A live app with real sign-ins, roles and payments, at an address you can send to customers
Built this way
- Body KnowledgeA 3D atlas for body psychotherapists
- TazamunGuided meditation you can talk to
- PharaonicA meditation practice with its own pantheon
- AWS Console DiagnosticsWhat is dead, exposed and broken in an AWS account
Four products, each of which started as a description.
Send us the export. We will do the first one for nothing.
If the business runs on a tangle of n8n, Zapier or Make automations, that counts as an app you already have. It worked at nine steps. At forty it fails quietly and one person understands it. We have not moved one of these yet, and we want the write-up more than the fee. The offer is limited because it is true: it ends the moment somebody takes it.
- What you send
- One n8n export. No call, no access, nothing to prepare.
- What you get
- The new app, its code and its checks. Yours either way, and yours to walk away with.
- What it costs
- Nothing. No card, no trial that converts, no invoice at the end.
- What we get
- The right to write it up. If the flow is sensitive we will anonymise it, and you see the write-up before it is published.
- How many
- The first one. This stops being true the moment somebody takes it.
Inside a bigger company?
Everything above works the same inside a company. Two situations come up often.
Your staff already build their own tools
The tool they needed did not exist, so someone built it anyway. It runs on a laptop, holds real customer data and has no sign-in. Banning it only moves it out of sight. Give it a proper home instead: the same app, running inside your own cloud account, with your sign-in and your rules applied.
Someone wants AI in the business this year
Nobody will give an AI write access to anything real, so it stays in pilots. Here one real task becomes something an assistant can do, under the same permission checks as your own staff, with spending capped for each AI model and every call logged.
Not sure which one you are? Say it in your own words.
Most people arrive describing a mess rather than a neat starting point. That is fine. Download Pikku Studio, describe the business in plain words, and it asks you about the business, not about technology.
Free, runs on your computer, no account needed.
the mess is the useful part
