Deployed requests

A million requests your deployed app serves. The 25ms is CPU, not wall clock, so waiting on a database or an API costs none of it.

Details

A request that burns more counts as more than one, in 25ms steps, so heavy work pays for itself rather than being carried by everyone else. Each request is capped at 250ms by default; raising it re-deploys your functions, so it is a support request rather than a switch. If the multiplier starts adding up, move the work onto a runtime machine, where CPU is about seven times cheaper.

Sandbox machine

Metered by the minute. A full eight-hour day on a medium comes to 64 credits, and idle sandboxes suspend themselves.

AI while you build

cost + 10%

The token cost of whichever model you picked, plus the markup. Cheap models stay cheap.

Where a model reaches us through a gateway, the gateway's own fee is listed as its own line rather than folded into ours. Every call itemises the model cost, the routing fee and our markup separately.

AI inside your live app

cost + 10%

Same rates. Building and running draw from one balance, so there is only ever one number to watch.

Your own AI key

5% — or nothing

Register the key with us and the provider bills you directly; the 5% covers routing, spend tracking, budgets and failover. We aren't charging it yet.

Details

Set the key as a plain secret and call the provider yourself and we charge nothing on AI at all: that traffic never reaches us, so there is nothing to meter and nothing to show you either.

Database & storage

Free while you build

In a sandbox the database and any content sit on the sandbox's own disk, so there is no provider bill to pass on.

Details

Once an app is deployed it is metered at whatever the storage provider charges for storage, reads and writes plus 25%. Any monthly credit your plan includes covers it first.

Bandwidth & egress

Free

Not billed at all. On most clouds this is the line that quietly balloons the invoice. Fair use applies — we only step in on genuine abuse.

Questions, answered.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Free runs on Pikku Studio Cloud with every feature included, for one person and up to 5 projects. Every verified sign-up gets 500 credits on us; after that you pay as you go.

What is different between the plans?

Who can use it. Free is just you. Indie adds teams, custom domains and monthly credit. Business adds SSO with your company login. Enterprise runs in your own cloud account. The security center, roles and permissions, model choice and always-on servers are on every plan, Free included.

Do I pay per seat?

No. On Indie and up you can invite as many people as you like. Seats aren't charged — what your team uses is.

What does SSO cover?

On Business, your team signs in to Pikku Studio with your company login — Okta, Microsoft Entra, Google Workspace or any SAML or OIDC provider — and joins your team on first sign-in. Coming soon: apps you publish inside the company only let in people with that same login.

What does credit pay for?

Everything you use on our cloud, from one balance: building in a sandbox, the AI that writes your app, the AI inside your live app, and hosting your deployed apps. Every rate on this page is quoted in credits, so there is only ever one number to watch.

Does deploying cost credit?

Yes. Deploying spends credit on every plan — your sign-up credit first, then your plan's monthly credit, then top-ups.

What happens when my credit runs out?

Top up and keep going. Anything beyond your included credit is pay as you go, at the same rates. We warn you well before you hit zero, you can switch on auto-recharge as a safety net, and we never run you into debt — at zero, metered work pauses until you top up.

How do top-ups work?

Buy credit whenever you like, from inside the product, on any plan — Free included. Top up any amount from 500 to 50,000 credits at a time. Credit you buy never expires — even if you cancel and come back a year later. If you have not spent any of a top-up, we refund it in full.

Does my monthly credit roll over?

No — the credit that comes with your plan resets each cycle. Credit you buy as a top-up is separate: it never expires, and it is spent only once the monthly credit is used up.

Can I bring my own AI key?

Yes, on every plan. With your own provider key you're billed by that provider directly. Register it with us and we add 5% for routing, spend tracking and failover — not the 10% we charge when we're buying the tokens — and right now we aren't charging even that. Set it as a plain secret and call the provider yourself, and that traffic never touches us at all.

What is Enterprise?

Pikku Studio Cloud running inside your own cloud account — Hetzner or AWS today, Azure soon — so your infrastructure and your data residency stay yours. Pricing is set with you; get in touch.

What if I cancel?

Your plan runs to the end of the current period and then stops renewing. Credit you bought stays with you. Your apps are ordinary code in your own repository.
